Overview
The 2026 Honda Prologue is a fully electric midsize SUV built on GM’s Ultium platform. Sharing its architecture with the Chevrolet Blazer EV, the two-row 2026 Prologue seats five and offers either a single-motor FWD setup with 220 horsepower or a dual-motor AWD system producing 300 horsepower.
An 85-kWh battery delivers up to 308 miles of EPA-estimated range in FWD form. DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Standard Honda Sensing, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Google Built-In connectivity make the Prologue a practical option for families transitioning to electric ownership.
What’s New for 2026
The 2026 Honda Prologue midsize SUV carries over without changes to its design or powertrain, but charging is updated. Every Prologue now includes a Portable Charging Kit as standard. Buyers can choose between a wall-mounted home charging station with a $1,250 installation incentive through Honda Home Electrification or a $500 sales credit applied to the purchase or lease. The only other change is that Frostline White Pearl replaces Snowfall Pearl on the paint palette. Two trims are also cheaper this year, the EX AWD (-$900) and the Touring AWD (-$200).

Exterior
The Prologue features a clean, neo-rugged design with upright proportions and restrained detailing. Slim LED headlights and subtle e: badging define its electric identity.
EX and Touring trims ride on 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Elite features 21-inch wheels, the largest offered on a Honda. A hands-free power liftgate is standard on the top two trims, and optional roof rails add utility. It is longer and wider than the CR-V, prioritizing cabin space.

Dimensions and Cargo
Although Honda often maximizes interior packaging, the Prologue’s Ultium-based platform limits dimensional flexibility. As a result, cabin space is competitive within the midsize electric SUV segment rather than class-leading.

Verdict
The 2026 Honda Prologue remains a practical entry in the electric SUV segment. It combines GM’s Ultium platform with Honda packaging and delivers up to 308 miles of range in FWD form. The starting 2026 Honda Prologue price of $47,400 keeps it competitive.
Acceleration and towing capacity are adequate rather than leading, but road manners are composed, and technology is straightforward. Buyers seeking stronger performance may consider alternatives such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E or Tesla Model Y.
For families prioritizing range, space, and familiarity, the Touring FWD remains the most balanced choice in the 2026 Prologue lineup.
