The 2026 Honda Odyssey in a Nutshell
It’s been 30 years since the Honda Odyssey hit showrooms, and it’s been a staple in the company’s lineup since. And while minivans aren’t selling as much these days (thanks to crossovers), the Odyssey is, without a doubt, the most practical Honda one can get.
Five generations of the Odyssey have been made since then. The current model was introduced in mid-2017 and has received two facelifts along the way. Its most recent update was for the 2025 model year, giving it a few styling tweaks, equipment enhancements, and software upgrades. It carries over into 2026 with a price increase and little to no changes everywhere else.

2026 Honda Odyssey Highlights
The Odyssey is offered in four trim levels, namely EX-L, Sport L, Touring, and Elite. All come standard with a sunroof, wireless phone connectivity, power-adjustable front seats with memory, a power tailgate, power sliding doors, and Honda Sensing advanced driver-assist features. The Sport L then gives the minivan a touch of, er, sportiness with gloss black 19-inch wheels, trim-specific styling details inside and out, and even red stitching on the seats and steering wheel.
Go for the Touring, and that one adds a rear entertainment system, CabinWatch, and CabinTalk (another feature for parents), sun shades for second and third-row seats, and parking sensors. As for the Elite, there’s a hands-free power tailgate, heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and an 11-speaker sound system on top of all the features found in the Touring. Prices range from $42,795 to $51,695.
All Odysseys are powered by the familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s also seen in the Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline. It’s good for 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, and the lone drivetrain choice is front-wheel drive. Also, you’ll have to move to Japan if you want one with hybrid power, although it’s a totally different kind of Odyssey over there.

Final Thoughts
As far as minivans go, the Honda Odyssey is one of the more seasoned offerings out there. The lack of an all-wheel drive and hybrid option works against it, but despite its age, it still has a lot to offer. It’s already fully equipped even in base form, there are acres of space inside, and the V6 engine, while thirsty, makes the Odyssey a surprisingly punchy performer. Regardless of the trim chosen, it’s really hard to go wrong with the Honda.
