It could be said that the CR-V started out as a bit of a gamble for Honda when it was revealed over 30 years ago. To oversimplify the story, it was a Civic Wagon on stilts and given unique styling and a name change. There was no concept model that previewed it, too. It just, well, appeared.
Fast forward to today, and the CR-V has been Honda’s best-selling model worldwide for over a decade. While the Civic remains an important model for the brand, the CR-V is its most crucial product. Now in its sixth generation, it was fully redesigned for 2023 and has received a couple of updates since. For the 2026 model year, there are feature enhancements for lower trims and the addition of the Trailsport.

2026 Honda CR-V Lease Deals for March
Honda has a couple of lease deals for both gas and hybrid CR-V models, both of which are available in either 2WD or AWD guises. All offers for the 2WD versions are due at signing prices of $4,199, which stepping up for the AWD bumps that up to $4,899, regardless of powertrain. Starting with the LX models, it’s $309 per month for both 2WD and AWD models, while it’s $329 per month for 2WD and AWD Sport Hybrids.
Of course, there are also offers that knock down the monthly rates. The special promo is available to owners of 2011 or newer Honda, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, RAM, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, and Volkswagen vehicles. For those who qualify, the LX is now at $279 per month, while the Sport Hybrid is $289 per month. Mileage is limited to 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.20 for every mile exceeded. This offer is valid until April 30, 2026.

2026 Honda CR-V Highlights
There are seven trims available for the 2026 Honda CR-V, consisting of three ICE and four hybrid models. Prices range from $30,920 to $42,550, and the trims are LX, EX, EX-L, Sport Hybrid, Trailsport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid. All come equipped with advanced driver assists (Honda Sensing), drive modes, split-folding rear seats, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay.
EX models add a sunroof, walk-away locks, blind-spot information with cross-traffic monitoring, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. EX-L then gets leather, power tailgate, parking sensors, and upgraded driver assists. The Sport Hybrid serves as the entry-level trim for the electrified models and comes with roof rails and gloss-black wheels, while the Hybrid Sport-L tops that off with leather trim inside and a pair of exhaust finishers. Trailsport Hybrids benefit from standard all-wheel drive, a larger infotainment screen, plus more rugged styling inside and out, and a set of all-terrain tires. As for the Sport Touring Hybrid, that ticks all the boxes with a Bose sound system, hands-free tailgate, Google built-in, and 19-inch alloys.
All ICE-powered CR-Vs use a 1.5-liter turbo with 190hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. Hybrids come with a 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle engine paired to two electric motors that give a combined output of 204 hp and 247 lb-ft.

Going for a Honda CR-V is a near-no-brainer. It’s the ultimate head-over-heart purchase anyone can make, as compact crossovers have effectively replaced the traditional sedan for family duties. But what’s surprising about the CR-V is how it drives and the comfort it provides. It’s easy to take it for granted, but if you stop and appreciate all the work that went into it, it all starts making sense. We can’t blame you for skipping the Civic and Accord to buy (or lease) this. It’s simply a highly capable, practical compact wagon on tall tires.
