After 40 years, duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars capture moments in automotive history.

This year, duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In that time, some of the world’s most desirable, iconic, and influential luxury and exotic cars have graced the cover of our magazine over the past 40 years, and together, the cover cars of duPont REGISTRY’s hundreds of monthly issues tell a story of automotive history and its evolution since the ‘80s.

Looking back at duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars from the year 2013, some serious nostalgia is stirred up for any automotive enthusiast, and each year, a cover car shows an iconic moment of the past, when a car we see as a classic today was the hottest new creation on the market. January – Lamborghini Aventador Roadster

After the introduction of a new V12 Lamborghini flagship at the time, the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster came along, the open-top variant of the iconic Aventador, which was our January 2013 cover star.

February – McLaren P1

One of the “Holy Trinity” hybrid hypercars that changed the world of automotive performance, the McLaren P1 was featured on our February 2013 cover as the latest hypercar sensation.


March – Ferrari F12berlinetta

A new V12-powered tourer from Ferrari came in the early 2010s, and that was the F12berlinetta. Replacing the 599 GTB, The F12berlinetta was a new era for Ferrari’s flagship performance. It was our March 2013 cover star.

April – Porsche 911

Our April 2013 Anniversary Issue featured the Porsche 911, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a comparison between the original and the modern version.

May – Ferrari LaFerrari

The Ferrari LaFerrari, one of the hallowed hybrid hypercar heroes of the early 2010s, was the cover star of the May 2013 issue of duPont REGISTRY.

June – Lamborghini Veneno

One of the most valuable and exclusive Lamborghinis ever, and one of the many few-off masterpieces from the Fighting Bull, the Lamborghini Veneno was the star of our June 2013 cover.


Cover Cars shine on the duPont REGISTRY July 2013 issue, featuring a classic red Corvette Stingray and a 2014 model, with headlines celebrating the return of the Stingray and marking its 40th Anniversary.

July – Chevrolet Corvette

A new generation of the Corvette emerged for the 2014 model year, and that was the C7, which starred alongside the classic Stingray on our July 2013 cover.

August – McLaren MP4-12C

A custom McLaren MP4-12C with a body kit from Hamann was the star of our August 2013 cover.

September – Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F50, Ferrari F40

Three of Ferrari’s greatest supercars were the stars of our September 2013 cover: the Enzo, the F50, and the F40.

October – Pagani Zonda Revolución

Meant to be the final Pagani Zonda as the Huayra was taking the helm, the Pagani Zonda Revolución was the cover star of our October 2013 issue. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t the last Zonda.
